The water around the boat was only about 3-4 m deep, and there was a little coral reef close to the boat, so when we went snorkelling we could easily spot several kind of fishes. And about 2 m. from the boat there was a gathering of pelicans every morning. They were a great laugh watching, especially when they tried to catch a fish, throwing themselves into the water from 5 m. high! After a couple of days drinking a lotta beers, swimming, diving, shooting with “ÆRTER” , playing Boop It ( a really annoying game ), racing ( the boat actually made in second, which off course was because of me. I joined them the last day, so that’s pretty obviously the reason!!!!!!), killing bugs on the boat, dancing crazy to the same music every night at the regatta party, and listening to Knut Hamsuns Victoria, it was time for me to go home to Denmark. I joined Dream in South Africa 4 months earlier, so I was out of money and needed to go home and find a job! Well guys, just wanted to say thanks for letting me stay on your boat, and I had a blast partying with u guys! And good luck in the future!!! Lotta hugs from Maiken, who had the pleasure of meeting some really great Norwegian guys ( and u Harry...off course! PS: Og så hedder det køøøøøøøød, ikke kjøt!

LETTER FROM DANISH GUEST
26. juni 2002
.....................
Letter from a Danish guest on Cassiopeia, Majken 20
So, finally she pulled herself together and wrote a letter for and about
Cassiopeia ( well, we all know that the guys are way to lazy themselves, and
therefore they will never manage to write one!!!) I’m Danish, but since
Harry ( an English bloke who kinda moved to Cassiopeia ) doesn’t get
a word of Norwegian or Danish, I’ll write it in English! ( and I’m
not even sure that he’ll ever read this! )
I first met Cassiopeia, Kenneth, Marcus and Sigurd in Fortaleza, Brasil. I
was staying on the Danish sailing yacht Dream. We drank loads of beer with
them, and when we met them again in Kourou, French Guyana, we had a “jam-session”
combined with a bbq and off course beers and whisky!!! They moved on to Tobago
in the Caribbean and we ( me and the other 5 people on Dream ) stayed another
week in French Guyana. We arrived at Tobago May 7th. We stayed in Scarborough
for 3 days, and moved the boat to the south end of Tobago, Point Bay, where
Cassiopeia and about 80 other boats were laying.
Sigurd went home Saturday afternoon, so with all the xtra room on Cassiopeia,
I figured it would be best if I moved in!! ( no........that’s not true!!
Dream was leaving for Martinique, and my flight home to DK was from Tobago,
so I stayed on Cassiopeia the rest of time. Saturday night we ( me, Kenneth
and Marcus ) went into Scarborough to a huge reggae concert. I not sure how
drunk we were ( pretty, I reckon ) but I ended up dancing on the stage with
3 local guys trying to dance a bit closer than I thought was “fun!”.
We got a lift back to Point Bay, and went to the boats in the little yellow
dinky ( I amassed that it’s still floating!! )
Tobago has a big regatta every year, and we were so lucky that we bumped
into it!!! The guys got themselves a job on a 42 foot yacht. There, they met
Harry, our little mango-eating Englishman. He was their with some friends
of the family, all about 20 years older than him! So he was hanging out with
us on Cassiopeia trying to hit innocent divers with rotten mangoes using a
slingshot. He actually hit one, which Marcus was blamed for later!!
